Producer / Cinematographer / Writer / Director
Taylor O. Miller has been passionate about storytelling through photography, film, and writing since she was a child. Raised in Kentucky, she spent many summers on the porch with her grandparents, listening to their stories about her family and our world. Taylor and her older brother made movies as children everyday. As children they called their company Magic Movies. She immersed herself into photography at 16 years old. She graduated with honors from The University of Redlands Johnston Center for Integrative Studies with a double major in Documentary Work and Creative Writing. At 24 she wrote and directed DEBRIS, a short film that premiered at the New York International Independent Film Festival. Miller received her MA and PhD, ABD, in Communications from The European Graduate School in Saas Fee, Switzerland.
Ms. Miller became a programmer in 2010 for the Slamdance Film Festival and she was quickly promoted to the position of Co-Captain of the Narrative Short Film division. From the islands of Micronesia to swimming with the humpback whales in the Silver banks off the coast of the Dominican Republic, Miller has traveled all over the world for her photography. Most recently she traveled to India to shoot and star in PinkCity, the upcoming feature film by director Nick Gaglia.
